Prep To Success

Most Critical Step

Cabinet painting can only be successful with thorough, thoughtful preparation. This begins with site protection. We go above and beyond to protect your home and contain our workspace preventing dust, debris, overspray, and odors from entering your home.

We mask and protect all surfaces except the cabinet surfaces we are preparing, priming and painting.

Next, we enter our sanding phase. We use HEPA sanders to contain dust and power through the existing finish so the primer can adhere well. Detailed areas are hand sanded.

On to primer. We use only high-quality primers and prefer oil-based primer for maximum adhesion and stain-blocking.

Filling. We inspect all primed surfaces for imperfections and fill will proper fillers and let dry.

We then sand all primed surfaces once more before spot priming any filled spots.

Our Prep Procedure Is Always in This Order:
